to build the capacity of member food banks, through Pantry University, the Goodman Hunger Forum, and related activities
As a nonprofit food distribution and training center, the Food Depository provides food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in our community. The Goodman Hunger Forum is a discussion among key leaders representing nonprofit organizations, government agencies, the philanthropic community and private corporations across the Chicago area that addresses the impact of hunger and nutrition on Chicago-area communities.
The Meals-on-Wheels program responds, on a daily basis, to the real and basic need of nourishment for the older population within the Palm Beach Florida Jewish community. Nutritionally balanced kosher meals are delivered to the individual’s home on a weekly basis.
The Homebound Mitzvah Program brings a "holiday in a box" to homebound members of the Jewish community. Volunteers deliver kosher meals and religious items for the High Holidays and Passover, to participants who may otherwise not be able to enjoy a hot, kosher meal or prayer on the holiday.
