Susan Baum

Susan Baum joined the Lillian and Larry Goodman Foundations as Director of Communications in early 2011. Susan is responsible for grant-related events, communications, and managing the Foundations’ brand and presence online and off-site.

Susan has spent nearly eight years working for various Chicago-area nonprofit organizations including over five years as media relations manger at Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies. In this role, she produced public relations, marketing, and advertising campaigns for the Institute’s museum, college, gift shop, and public programs. Specializing in copywriting, publicity, social media marketing, and branding for small businesses and nonprofit organizations, she has consulted and provided general communication coaching to various clients including a chef, rock band, and personal wealth advisor. Susan has also guest lectured on social media strategies for nonprofit organizations at Spertus College’s Master of Nonprofit Management program, where she is also an alumna.

Susan also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from University of Kansas.
